May 2, 2015 ---- In London, the Town Crier announced ........................

Hear ye!  on this day, May 2, 2015, the Royal Couple, Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, welcomed a BABY GIRL!  The new Royal Princess is 4th in line to the Throne.

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am.

The baby weighs 8lbs 3oz.  The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.

The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales & The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry & members of both families have been informed.

Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.

The baby was born in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital, the same place where Kate, 33, gave birth to the couple's first child, Prince George, in July 2013. Last September, royal officials said George's younger sibling was on the way.

"Obviously, we're thrilled," Prince William, 32, said at the time.

"The first time is a learning experience," he told a well-wisher at an event two months ago. "The second is a game-changer".

Prince of Wales (that would be Charles) and Duchess of Cornwall (that would be Brunhilda .... I mean Horseyface ...... NO! NO! NO1 Camilla .... yeah .... Camilla) are 'absolutely delighted.

THOSE were the messages on Twitter directly from Kensington Palace today!

Up next, the royals will introduce their bundle of joy to the world outside St. Mary's Hospital, as they did with Prince George after his birth. They will then leave the hospital (hopefully Prince William won't have a struggle with the baby car seat this time!) and return to Kensington Palace for a couple of days.

A source tells Us Weekly that the couple will then travel back to their Anmer Hall home in Norfolk. As the family of four adjust, Prince William will take two weeks of paternity leave from his Bond Air Services training.

Middleton will also take some time off. The Palace isn't commenting on when she will return to public engagements. The insider notes: "As you’d expect with having two very young children, her focus will be on the family during the summer."
