I regret to say I am NOT technologically inclined. Surely you can tell by this site? I don't know how to add nicer smileys, or access the calendar, or give others permission to start their own forum categories, even though I've checked all the right boxes.
So, today I received my FREE (yes, I said FREEEEEEEE) Dell 2 in 1 laptop/tablet. I took it out of the box and ........................... was instantly lost. I got Windows installed but it has APPS! I don't like APPS. I don't know how to use APPS! I want the APPS I DON'T use OFF. I wouldn't mind having the APPS I use ON, however, I'd much rather have a pretty desktop screen with a pretty picture on it like I have on my old Toshiba laptop. I can do ANYTHING on that puppy.
It's a DELL (I don't care it's FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE). It's FULL-SIZED, with a full-sized keyboard, has a touch screen, a microphone that rivals my own and a camera that wants me to take a pic of myself for some reason. Uh, no! For some reason, I can't get my mouse thingy to fit into any of the "ports". Why not? I CANNOT use the little box thingy at the bottom of the keyboard. Nope. Cannot do it.
I wanted to have this all set up with my favorite things in all the right places before bedtime ... as THIS will be my bedroom laptop. My old one is soooooooooooooooooooo heavy to carry and schlepp it everywhere.
But, alas, my eldest son doesn't have the time or wherewithal to help me. My daughter came over, installed Firefox and left .... she's too sick to want to be involved. My youngest son, who I would rely on SOLELY to fix me right up (and he would with NO complaining) is away and unreachable. My puppy just wants to play fetch. Therefore, I am on my own.
I have an amazing new 2 in 1 Dell laptop/tablet that's full-sized with a full size keyboard, touch screen, the colors are so bright it makes me cry with JOY and HAPPINESS and will lay flat, tent, and do so many marvelous things ..... if only I knew where to start.
I have this amazing wonderful FREEEEEEE piece of equipment and ....... I ................ can't ................... even ................ use .................. it.
Remind me why I had children again?????
