I ALWAYS pray for others. I ALWAYS say a prayer if a request comes from my "prayer list" group. I NEVER ask for myself. Until ....... today.
Please pray for me (freyasmom). I spent nearly the entire day in the emergency room Monday. My knees were in excruciating pain. I figured arthritis ..... yeah .... this is going to happen. DEAL WITH IT. But, my left one was the worst ever. My whole leg hurt so badly I couldn't put weight on it. The pain goes straight up to my left side. Ok ... again ... don't be a baby .... deal with it. Until I took off my slipper ....... and saw that NOT ONLY had my foot swelled to TWICE the size it should be ....... but my ENTIRE LEG was swollen as well!
They did an ultrasound - no blood clots present (YAY) ..... blood circulation - ok (YAY)! They did blood tests (ugh - i have NO veins). Everything came back ..... fine. (NOT yay).
They treated the pain ..... MASSIVE doses of pain shots. They didn't acknowledge the swelling except to notice it was there.
Right now .... it's 2 a.m. The pain is excruciating (yes, I took a pain pill AND a flexeril over an hour ago), my entire leg is swollen, my back is killing me, and I'm very, very scared.
So..... prayers, pep talks, hugs, good vibes, a joke! Anything ..... please .... I would be ever so grateful.
