Betram sits by his ailing wife's bed, promising that he will stop at nothing to cure her. How far will he go?
Graphics were done very well. Not as sharp and brightly colored as some games but definitely suited to the game's spookiness.
Music 
was great as were the spooky sound fx. Voice Overs were perfect!
Casual, Advanced, Expert and Custom difficulties.
While there is no journal, there is a transportable map (very basic which I like) as well as a gauntlet that you use to search for apparitions or a 'print' of something they left behind. wooooooooo.
HOGs were both interactive silhouette and list-type. You DO go back to previous HOG scenes.
Mini Games mixed old and new ideas. I had a problem understanding the instructions for 1 Mini Game
but, all in all, even the ones that take some time to complete were fun to play. 
This beta is definitely CE-worthy, having game-oriented Achievements
, collectibles 
and morphing objects

As soon as the game play started, I was reminded of the 'House on Haunted Hill' and 'Hill House' movies so I expected ghoulies, ghosties and things that go bump in the night ..... and I was NOT disappointed! Great for ANY level of expertise. I will DEFINITELY purchase this as a CE! Just can't wait for it's release!
